Production machine design
We have started developing production equipment for the wire industry in Wales UK. The equipment will pack large gauge wire into 300kg packs.
Expansion in south Wales UK
Advanced Electronic Systems has today announced its expansion in south Wales in Llanelli.
Managing Director Mr Chris Carter (Beng honours) said
“We have decided to expand our operations in Dafen, Llanelli as a result of the rapid growth of our Global markets”.

The main core of our business are designing and manufacturing industrial control systems to customer’s specifications.
At the heart of most of our control systems are programmable logic controllers (PLC). Programmable logic controllers have a large array of functions available. These include timers, counters, relays, contactors and mathematical functions. This reduces the hardware required and increases reliability and flexibility.
If a customer has an application that is required to operate in several modes then a PLC is Ideal. Several Modes can be programmed into the PLC and the required mode can be selected by the user. We can also provide multiple languages for equipment abroad. Using a PLC also reduces the component count, and increases reliability. |

We use the latest digital technology to control AC and DC motors and servo systems. We use technology from Control techniques unless other systems are requested by a customer. Control techniques are a large global company and spare parts can easily be obtained |

Power converters could be non regenerative or regenerative (single quadrant or 4 quadrant) this means that a motor can either be driven in one direction only (single quadrant) or Both directions including braking (4 quadrant).

We install modems in all our machines so that we can offer remote technical support.
Most of our products are designed to customer’s specifications. We have a policy to protect any sensitive material that is given to us by our customers. |

The Chameleon PLC |
|
|
We have developed our own Hybrid industrial programmable logic controller (PLC). We call it Chameleon. It has a 20 key membrane keyboard with a 20 character by 2 line Alpha-numerical display. The inputs and outputs are 24vdc and there are 16 inputs and 16 outputs as standard. It also boosts 2 analogue input channels 0-5v or industrial standard 0-10v and one 4-20mA analogue input.

The chameleon uses ladder software but currently the software can only be programmed by ourselves. However new software is being developed and will be available soon. The chameleon has up to 200 pages of text that can be programmed.

The PLC has a real time clock which keeps the time and date for up to ten years. The chameleon is suitable for application which require an HMI and a PLC this system together this system costs a fraction of the cost for both units. Therefore it is the ideal choice for industrial control.
To complement our industrial programmable logic controller we are designing remote inputs and outputs for our Chameleon PLC.
We are developing a remote high speed counter that will have quadrature capability. This will be accessed through the communications port. In addition we are developing extra external inputs and outputs.
